A furnace that clicks, hums and never lights
A gas furnace in Conroe does most of its work in a few short stretches each year, and the cold snaps tend to arrive between warm days. That means the equipment sits idle for months, then gets asked to perform on the first cold morning with no warm-up. The failures that show up are the ones that built quietly while it sat: a furnace that clicks but never ignites, blows cool air, or runs a few minutes and shuts itself down.
The usual causes are specific and fixable. A dirty flame sensor or a cracked igniter stops the burners from staying lit. A clogged filter lets the furnace overheat until the limit switch shuts it off. A failing inducer motor or a blocked vent keeps the safety switches from letting gas flow at all. A cold house with a furnace that sounds like it is trying is almost always one of these.
Furnace, flex line and attic air handler, done as one job
Gas furnace installation and repair is the heating side of what we do. The photo below shows the kind of work: a Comfortmaker furnace sitting beside an attic air handler, with flex duct run to it and a new gas flex line connected. A furnace swap is more than a box in a closet. The duct connections, the gas line, the venting and the control wiring all have to be right before the burners are ever lit.
We bring the same habit to heating that we use on cooling: evaluate first, explain the options, do the work, then test. Pricing is upfront, straight forward and flat rate, with no hourly charges. For a replacement we install American Standard, where we are a Preferred Dealer, and SureComfort, and we service all major brands. Financing is available on repairs and installations with approved credit through Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.
A furnace that fails at night does not wait for business hours, and neither do we. Same day service and emergency after-hours service are both available across Conroe, Magnolia, Montgomery, Willis, Oak Ridge and the rest of Montgomery County. We work under Texas licence TACLB28011E, and the number to call is 936-890-8991.
Check it before the first cold snap
A heating visit before the season is where a failing igniter, a dirty burner or a weak blower gets found on a mild afternoon rather than on a cold night. It is also where the safety items get a real look: the flame, the venting and the gas connections.
Watch for a burner flame that burns yellow instead of blue, a furnace that cycles on and off without holding temperature, rooms that heat unevenly, or a new rattle or scrape from the blower. Any of those means it is time for another visit. If you ever smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility first, then call us.
Loyalty Club members get two annual visits scheduled at their convenience, pre-season scheduling, priority booking and a reminder service, plus 15% off repairs. The program carries a 2 Year Labor Warranty Guarantee, and the maintenance page lays out the tiers.
